A Journey of Faith, Growth, and Transformation at Peoples Church Kerugoya**

A glimpse at the People’s Church Kerugoya 25 years of Growth
By Special Correspondent Kinana Munene

This week marks a monumental milestone for **Peoples Church Kerugoya** as it celebrates **25 years of impactful ministry**, culminating in a powerful “Deeper Fire Convocation” that has drawn believers, leaders, and visionaries from across the region. The seminar, which climaxes this **Saturday 23rd August 2025**, has been nothing short of transformational — a time of **influence, change, and spiritual awakening**.

A Call to Learn and Grow

**Apostle Dr. Francis Wanderi**, in a stirring appeal, reminded attendees that “*When you stop learning, you start dying*.” Drawing from **Luke 2:52**, he emphasized the holistic growth of a leader — *socially, physically, and intellectually*. Using a vivid metaphor, he said, *“A live chicken gives produce — and in the same way, God will give you more following if you are more learned.”*

This challenge resonated with many, inspiring participants to pursue excellence and deeper knowledge of both God and their divine purpose.

The Apostolic Hour with Apostle Matt Jones

The spirit shifted on **Thursday at 12:12 PM** when **Apostle Matt Jones**, joined by his wife **Christine Jones**, took the stage. The timing, symbolic of **apostolic authority and heavenly governance**, aligned with the message he delivered — rooted in **1 Corinthians 3:9** and **Matthew 16:18**.

“We are under spiritual building,” Apostle Matt declared. “The covenant is not only for Peter but for the church at large — those who are called.”

He described the **Church of the Ecclesia** — a body not confined by walls but empowered by divine assignment. He called for **unity**, stating, *“God is going to do something if we come together.”*

For those unable to attend in person, the session was **live-streamed from Nakuru Gordon Facebook **, ensuring the message of transformation reached far and wide.

Overcoming Principalities Through Truth

The seminar tackled the subtle **lies of the enemy** — thoughts that imprison minds with fear and isolation. The leaders reminded attendees that these lies are defeated by **knowing the truth of the Word** — a nod to **John 3:30**, where the focus shifts from self to Christ: *“He must increase, but I must decrease.”*

Worship That Opens Heaven

**Session Two** with **Pastor Justin Horn** brought a prophetic atmosphere. “*When you sing, you bring heaven on earth,*” he said passionately. “*Don’t be silenced.*”

Referencing **Deuteronomy 31:6**, **Proverbs 27:17**, **Malachi 3:6**, and **Hebrews 13:8**, he challenged believers not to isolate themselves during hardships.

“The enemy lies that we are the only ones going through difficulty. But we are called to **lift one another up**.”

He encouraged participants to embrace **change**, take the **next step**, and remember that *“God doesn’t change for us — we change for Him.”*

Anchored in the Word, Empowered for Harvest

Throughout the seminar, a common thread emerged: **the Word of God is the blueprint for life**. As one speaker put it: *“The only way to know how God looks like is by reading the BIBLE.”*

There was a call to **go and reap the harvest**, for the workers have been designated, equipped, and anointed.

The seminar’s theme was powerfully anchored in **Malachi 2:7**:

“For the lips of a priest ought to preserve knowledge, because he is the messenger of the Lord Almighty and people seek instruction from his mouth.”

As Peoples Church Kerugoya marks **25 years of divine service**, this Leadership Seminar has set a prophetic tone for the future — one of **revival, equipping, and commissioning**

As the church community reflects on this powerful journey, one truth is clear: **The harvest is ready, the workers are rising, and the kingdom of God is advancing.**

*Travel Tuesdays continues to celebrate stories of faith, growth, and transformation. Stay tuned for more uplifting journeys from across the nation.*
