The emotionally charged vigil, held on Sunday evening , was led by university comrades, family, and staff of Bingwa Sacco, where the late Muchai had briefly served before his illness. Attendees lit candles and shared heartfelt tributes, memories, and prayers under the chilly Kerugoya skies, creating a touching send-off for a youth many described as brilliant, courageous, and full of life .
